| hey guys watsup? not really much to say, but i was bored and feeling perty philosophical, but first i have an announcement. i am dating, for those people that didn't already know! so i felt like puttin that out there first. second off, i just want to say that i hate it when people use xanga for freakin diary!! i don't mind a good theological post, but when you post exactly how you are doin emotionally, and what you had for breakfast (unless it was lifechanging), please put something worth reading. i really want to tell everyone that reads this, yet again, if you are at all interested in missions work, or if you are a healthy young teenager somewhere around 18-19+, please pray about going to asia, or anywhere in the world, for a missions trip!!! i will post a number that will put you in contact with the same person that hooked me up at GTO. 1-717-485-4341 if you go over there, you will never regret it. i know for myself, i grew more spritually than it felt like i helped any of the nationals!! i want to strongly encourage you to go!!!!! that's all for now, but ya'll use that number now!!!! lata.... julio | | |
| wow, i was just noticing how long it's been since i updated. i had been contemplating taking my site off, but i never did, just never got arund to it.... well, the highlight of my life has been from jan 3rd till yesterday. i went over to asia on a missions trip. i must say that really opened up my eyes! i don't really know what to say about it all, but one thing i want to say, is that we need more people to go over there and make a difference. i want to put the call out, if you feel at all called to do anything, please consider going over there, anywhere, just go for God. i want to go back, hopefully take a team from my church with me. i want to strongly encourage everyone to pray about going, and pray with an open mind! i am forever changed because of what i saw and did over there! you will not regret going over there. if you want any information on going, let me know, cause i don't really wanna put much information on here... if you don't feel called, at least pray for the people that are over there, and for the missionaries that are there! | | |
| hello again. not much to report, except that this weekend is rather wierd. i will say i did enjoy yesterday. like 7 of us went canoeing down some river and most of us got roasted. i don't usually sunburn, but this time i caught it. if any of ya'll would want to pray for me, i have been contemplating a long term mission trip to louisiana to halp with the reconstruction there. if any of you ever feel the need to go on a mission trip, go there. i think they will be another 10-15 years down there. especially with only volunteer help. so yeah. our youth group went down for a week, and there is still so much work to be done. anyways, i would appreciate yall's prayers for guidance. anyways, yall have a good one. | | |
| written by: larry(ethan), curly(julian), and mo(matter). It was a blisteringly muggy morning. With calls in hand and wrapped in camo, we headed to the woods, anticipating the sound of an early morning gobbler. we blew exitedly on our crow calls, but to no avail. the roosting gobblers did not bite. or gobble, for that matter. we hiked the unkown trails of Buzzard Mountain, broadcasting to the turkey world that we were on our way. as luck would have it, nothing was stirring at this heinous hour, except for the mosquitos and ticks. so aside from the occasional briar in the face, the trip so far was very frustrating. after a jaunt down the rich man's pathway, we set up on a couple black-feathered fiends (crows) that seemed to be within range. after the crows passed, without us firing a shot, we continued on till we came to a small quarry, at which point in time, our guide, Ethan, realized that he had no idea where we were. after climbing a pile of discarded quarry rock, we started to panic. so we quickly began throwing rocks off a tall ledge to watch them shatter and ease our troubled minds.suddenly our guide looked up and said, " I know where we are!" as he pointed in to a mountain about half a mile away. without hesitating, we scrambled down from the ledge strait into a briar patch that stood between us and our destination. with hearts fluttering w/ hope, and throats blistering with thirst, we slogged to the dirt road that led home. raiding the house, we ate two whole pizza's and five soft drinks. then we turned our thoughts to the river. but that's a story for another time. | | |
